Wowza Media Server is a unified media platform, with the ability to handle a range of media formats and end-points. In addition because it is built on Java, you can use Wowza as a full development platform for more than just media streaming. After a year of flux, it seems that we're now coming to terms with the fact that the web has changed, and many people see HTML5 canvas as the new golden child. But is it really a viable alternative to Flash? Seb will be investigating whether native browser capabilities in their current state are a worthy challenger to the great Flash fiefdom.
Is HTML5 canvas capable of producing iOS friendly rich content? Is it possible to make a fun casual game in JavaScript? How do we work around the limitations of older browsers? And most importantly, where should we, as Flash developers, invest our energies to ensure the continuing relevance of our skills.
