A few of you have expressed interest in some hands on/getting started practice with Android programming last week. I'm thinking about doing a code jam session outside of the regular monthly meetup. My initial idea is to get together a small group (less than 10) of people, each bring a laptop, build some simple applications together as a practice, ask questions and discuss. This is sort of like an Android study group, open forum kind of deal.
I haven't thought too much as to what we should build in the code jam yet. I'm thinking about using some tutorial examples as a start, or we can install the Android SDK. I don't know yet, and I'm looking for your suggestions.
Once we have enough ideas, we'll put together a small agenda for the code jam session, then we'll decide where to do the code jam session.
So ... let's start some brainstorming here ...
