Tuning Java script at Disqus
The internet is all about integration and with the increasing popularity of third-party widgets, making code that behaves and plays well with the host site is of critical importance. With so much attention now focused on page and site performance, the pressure and constraints on third-party content (apps and widgets) are increasing which can present a unique set of challenges compared with the traditional web page.
Anton Kovalyov (@AntonKovalyov / LinkedIn / Blog) is a Front-End Engineer at Disqus, and has guided development on the Disqus (code.disqus.com) commenting widget since the company’s earliest days. He maintains and contributes to a number of open-source JavaScript projects, including JSHint, a code quality tool, and easyXDM, a cross-domain messaging library.
