The Skills Matter eXChange , London, GB

Robert Pickering is back in the Skills Matter eXchange for a hands-on workshop covering the fundamentals of the powerful F# language.

As a world-class F# expert and community leader, Robert will be bringing his decade of experience, and his knowledge as author of two books covering F# to help you get a thorough grasp on the basics of the language.

Robert's 'Beginning F# Workshop' is a two day course that will teach you all about F#, an exciting new language that has evolved from a Microsoft Research project into a first class citizen of Visual Studio 2010. You will discover how F# can be used to express programs concisely and efficiently; you’ll also learn how to start having fun with this enormously productive language.

The course will start with the basics - from its syntax through to its unique elements - and cover the fundamentals of basic application creation, all the way to complex ones that make use of F#'s asynchronous and parallel programming, and GPU usage.
