Java SE 7 has been a long time coming, but the wait has been worth it.
Java SE 7 provides new features to developers to make their lives easier and more productive. In this session will look at the new features in the next release of our favorite programming language:
- Syntax changes in the Java language (Project Coin)
- Performance improvements in the JVM for dynamically typed languages (The DaVinci Machine)
- New IO (NIO2)
- Fork-join framework
We'll also briefly look at the ideas for features to be in included in Java SE 8.
