SUBJECT: PowerShell for SharePoint

SPEAKER: Boulos Dib, consultant and founder of Napeague Inc.

Abstract

PowerShell is an important resource for SharePoint developers and admins.  Microsoft has integrated PowerShell as a management tool for various server products including Windows Server, SharePoint, Exchange and SQL Server and is expected to replace the original command line management tools.   Developers can write PowerShell extensions encapsulating their business administration APIs.  Administrators can now take full advantage of the PowerShell .Net extensibility while creating their own scripts.  In this presentation, we will start with an introduction to PowerShell, its language, objects, tools and extensibility features and conclude with demonstrations of SharePoint management and development automation tasks.
