A client asked Ben Parker to convert one XML format to another. Ben was relegated to Java during the day and, as he was missing his lovely lightweight TDD Scala coding, he didnt even consider XSLT. Ben simply added anti-xml to his sbt build and got stuck in.

This talk is the journey Ben went through over 3 days test-driving this work using Specs2. In particular, Ben will focus on how he went about testing and the issues he faced in asserting the expected xml.

Ben will also talk about what he would do differently now, given a little more time, and suggest additions to the anti-xml library to have made the job even easier.
