This event will be unlike any other JavaScript event.

Picture yourself going in for an interview.  Your heart is pounding.  Your hands are sweating.  As you walk in the office and announce your arrival your knees get weak.  The interviewer comes and welcomes you, you shake hands, you get worried about soaking their hand in your sweat and you sweat even more.  They ask you to introduce yourself and you stumble over your own name.  Great!  You're off to a great start.  Then you draw a blank and forgot what JavaScript even is !

Tonight we will explore the exciting, nerve-wrecking, and suspenseful world of interviews! If you are like me, you love going to interviews (no, I'm not being sarcastic) because you get to learn more about yourself. Alright, I admit most people don't like interviews, but this event will hopefully change that...

In tonight's event we will have a mock interview going. We will call on random people in the audience with random JavaScript questions. This means you must know some JavaScript, you must be a coder, and you must want to be put on the spot - just like in a real interview.  The goal will be to give as many people a go at it as possible so we will try to cap the time for answers - just like in a real interview.

The benefits to attending are that you will see what type of questions you can expect when you go in for an interview, and how you stack up against others in New York City !

Needless to say this event is NOT for recruiters. If you are a recruiter, you are expected to sponsor our events. If you want to attend, please get in touch with me privately.

If you interview candidates for JavaScript skills on a regular basis, please get in touch with me so you can be part of the panel.

This is definitely not an event for the faint of heart, but that's what will make it fun. It is not meant to put anyone down, make fun of anyone, but truly as a vehicle to learn about an enterprise level interview process by other JavaScript developers and what will be expected of you.

All skill levels are welcome!  There will be a method to the whole "interview process" to ensure the right questions get paired up to the right skill level.  So if you want to test your beginner, intermediate, or advanced skills, you're all welcome!  Come one come all.
