ain Presentation: Caching with Redis  This presentation will explore Redis from an entry level. It is based on a real-world experience of using Redis caching with an ASP.NET application to save more than two million database reads per day. It will cover the basics of what Redis is, as well as Redis data types and  some common use cases. During the session, we will install Redis as a Windows service and run the benchmark tool to get some relative performance statistics. We will also look at ServiceStack.Redis (v3.9) and StackExchange.Redis which are the two .NET clients for Redis as well as several libraries for working with StackExchange.Redis serialization. We will finish with several demos using StackExchange.Redis in some typical scenarios to store and retrieve several of the most used Redis data types. Joel Reinford Joel Reinford started working with .NET when ASP.NET arrived in 2002 with the WebMatrix editor. Currently he is an IT Enterprise Architect for Virginia Department of Social Services where he is leading a team to convert a high-traffic legacy mainframe application to ASP.NET.
