Once upon a time, the term "internet" meant that you could send a plain text file from Stanford to UCLA. Now the internet means everything from Facebook to filesharing to "social bookmarking" to [coming soon] Google Wave.
How is the structure of the internet changing, and what impact will it have on our ideas of "knowledge"? How can we change our thinking to stay ahead of the curve? And just what the heck is this "semantic web" thing anyway?
We'll have a moderator to give a quick introduction of the subject, and then kick the topic out to the floor for a friendly, laid-back discussion.
If you have any comments, or want to take a more active role planning this discussion, please contact Cristos.
