The Windows Communication Foundation (formerly codenamed "Indigo") is a part of WinFX, the next generation of the .NET framework.

WCF is a set of .NET technologies for building and running connected systems built around a Web Services architecture - WCF brings together existing communication technologies into a coherent model, implements the latest WS-* standards, and allows you to build in SOA from the ground up. In this session you will gain an understanding of WCF capabilities in order to begin to develop applications that take advantage of WinFX capabilities.
