Hello! [B-)]

It's that time again! Grab your diary, fire up Gcal or Outlook and add

Wednesday August 26th 6.30pm for the next Hull Digital MeetUp!

A big thanks to Cllr. John Robinson who is kindly providing this month's venue and also laying on some food and drinks - much appreciated!

We have a great evening lined up for you with 2 excellent speakers:

Geoff Gifford from OS4B (Open Source for Business) talking about... Open Source for business. Geoff sponsored the very tasty food and drinks at the July Social, and is now going to tell us about the benefits that Open Source can bring.

Will Hawkins from MMT Digital - talking about QR codes “People’s patience is limited. People are used to getting what they want now. Offline media has always been difficult to measure in its effectiveness which makes marketers often have to guess which of their offline advertisements are the most effective. This is very different from online advertising and marketing which is far easier to measure how much bang you get for your buck. But there is a small but growing trend in a technology which helps marketers incorporate interactivity to their offline advertisements by connecting consumers to online extensions of the advertisements through their mobile phones. Generically, they are called ‘2-D codes’ ".

I look forward to seeing you all there, and any questions, please do get in touch!

Best wishes,

Jon
