Installing and Configuring MySQL

Based on feedback from you, we're taking a different approach to our monthly events. We'll take a step back this month to discuss the installation and configuration of MySQL.

We will walk through installations on different platforms and show how different configuration parameters effect server performance. We will highlight parameters in the config file and review some basic user and admin commands.

Veteran MySQL admins, please come prepared to share your installation and configuration tips and tricks.
