Mini DevCamp + Appshare

Guest presenter: Renowned Blackberry Architect Steve Boyle helped lead Citibanks global mobile applications strategy. Steve will share his experiences with the RIM platform and where he thinks things are headed for the future.

Appshare: We had a very successful Appshare session at the last Meetup and actually used it as an opportunity to Alpha test for the upcoming Disruptathon in October. We featured nine presenters who each had five minutes to sell their innovations. We used Zerion Softwares (Sze Wong) ExZact lite realtime voting app to determine the winning presenter. We also put to great use Point Abouts (Scott Suhy, Daniel Odio, Isaac Mosquera) iPhone to Projector device. The winning presenter was Samir Roy who developed Classics2Go, an app that features a unique reader and 50 classic books. Nice job, Samir!

All presenters from August are encouraged to present again as we are going to work on identifying the most innovative aspects of our applications. If you would like to present please do so by replying on the Ning site.
