There are NO BORING POWERPOINTS in this dynamic and interactive professional development event. Join Karen Hough, Founder & CEO of ImprovEdge, for an engaging and thought provoking breakfast about professional development in a techie world. ImprovEdge is a company that creates learning experiences, training and consulting using improvisation to teach business skills. This workshop is about demystifying the process of building relationships and building business. Business development, networking and the art of conversation are all critical skills in successful development.
Through high-energy, non-traditional teaching methods, we will focus on individual networking skills introductions, working a room, pitching your ideas, and the art of conversation. Specifically, we will look at the value of positive verbal and body language and how to pause the internal agenda to listen more effectively. Program participants will even have the opportunity to help guide the program to discuss hot topics of concern to them.
Through improvisation, ImprovEdge will teach business skills and challenge you to reconsider how you work and relate to colleagues and clients. Learn first-hand techniques that will take you, your career, and your company to the next level. Battelle, Lexicon Genetics, JPMorgan, Limited Brands/Victorias Secret, Nationwide Insurance, Jones Day, the U.S. Army, Duke University, and Ross Products to name a few, have all benefited from ImprovEdges creative approach to business training.
