The Digital Video Special Interest Group (SIG) brings together presentations on video editing and special effects software, including Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, and Adobe After Effects. Members share their experiences with video taping and using related software tools such as Adobe Photoshop. Camera equipment, both still and video, is also demonstrated and reviewed. Terry Syndergaard is the Manager of this SIG, which meets on the second Tuesday of every month. The fee for non-OCMMA members is $10, or $5 for students. Visit www.ocmma.org for more information.
Program: Storyboards - How and Why: From The Pros to the Non Artist (Part 2)
Storyboards are important visualization tools that are used in developing many projects including film, animation, advertising, video games and even theme park and museum attractions. Joanne Le Cocq, Designer and Storyboard Artist, will show storyboards from a variety of projects for the entertainment industry and demonstrate features from the storyboarding software, Toon Boom Storyboard Pro. This program can create professional storyboards and also generate real-time animatics for a variety of presentation needs.
Our illustrious leader, Terry Syndergaard, will show storyboards from Stargate, Octopussy (James Bond, not the mother-of-eight), Tarzan, and deleted storyboard scenes from Futurama and The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Terry will also be giving away the last remaining copies of the books, Web Toons and 3D Toons as well as links to some great sites you can explore for more.
