Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCDs) are a common in BI implementations, however they still manage to confound many developers when they come to implement them. This presentation takes a look at what SSIS does to help us handle them more effectively followed by a demonstration of implementing varios types of SCD's in SSIS.

Chris Loris is a Software Engineer currently working in Data Warehousing, BI and BizTalk middleware at Harris Corporation. In the past Chris has worked as an ASP.Net developer, Engineering Manager, Professional Services Engineer, Test Engineer and a Technical Writer. He's been active in the Microsoft Developer Community for over 6 years and enjoys giving whatever free time he has to it. He lives in Viera, Florida with his wife, daughter and no dogs because he's allergic.
