Now that we know what GWT is, it only makes sense that we also see how well it scales in real life - enter Google Wave :-)
That's right! In the midst of their preview roll-out, we are extremely fortunate to have Marcel Prasetya from Google talk about this amazing piece of technology.
In addition to giving a short overview of Wave, Marcel will go over the current set of APIs provided by Google Wave, that allows third-party developers to extend and enhance Google Wave. His talk will cover the current features of Embedding, Gadgets, Robots, and Extensions hook, as well as some new features that will be rolled out soon, such as, OpenSocial support for the Gadgets API, filtering and active Robots API, and Settings wave to manage user extensions.
With all the buzz around Google Wave, this is an event you don't want to miss out on!
Pizzas for this evening will be sponsored by Diana Henninger from TEKsystems and refreshments will be brought in by Gerry Cohen from Guidewire Software!
Be sure to stick around until the end to get a shot at winning books and other interesting goodies from Sun and O'Reilly, as well as a copy of IntelliJ IDEA from JetBrains.
Note that if you plan to attend, you absolutely need to RSVP before the cut-off date, or you risk not being able to get past the security guard. Even if you are unsure, just RSVP Maybe to add your name to the VIP list :-)
About Marcel Prasetya: Marcel graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science. He joined Google in 2006, and after working for internal systems for approximately 3 years, he joined the Google Wave team. He is part of the API team, working primarily on the Robot API.
As usual, this event is brought to you by Marakana.
