Hello fellow Ruby Hackers and other programming enthusiasts!

It's time for another Ruby Hackday! This time we'll be discussing introductory Ruby metaprogramming techniques. This event will take place on Saturday December 12th and will run from 9:30am to 1:30pm.

As always, the event will be free of charge, and open to everyone. Our discussion will cover the Ruby object model, metaprogramming, and DSL creation. The format will include live coding as well as clone-able code and a handout containing reference material.

This discussion will be geared towards those who are familiar with Ruby and who:

* Have heard about metaprogramming but don't know what it is
* Have done some amount metaprogramming but want to learn more
* Would like to know how to create awesome DSL's using Ruby

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own laptop.

Here's a run down of the schedule: 9:30am - 10:00am: Introduction 10:00am - 11:45am: Ruby object model 11:45am - 12:00pm: Break / Discussion 12:00pm - 1:30pm: Metaprogramming

After the event, we will be grabbing lunch and beers at a local restaurant - anyone who is interested is welcome to come along.
