Hello ! [:)]

I'm very pleased to announce the November Hull Digital MeetUp!

Big thanks to the Intrahost / Intrasource guys and gals for hosting the event once again. Please can people not arrive until 6.30pm so we don't disturb their support operation, thanks! We will have the normal drinks and chat and start the presentations around 7.15pm.

We have 2 great speakers lined up for you:

Helen Philpot

She is talking about 'Digital Inclusion'. The so called 'digital divide' presents existing providers with opportunities and challenges. She'll be explaining why we should address the issue and how providers can benefit from offering services to narrow the gap.

She'll also be explaining how non-profit business models may offer the media a life line long term and how partnership working can lead to increased productivity and creativity.

Louise Barrett and John Kitson will show you some of the latest hardware for discreet public WiFi.

Hotels, Bars and conference halls are increasingly looking for WiFi hardware to meet the demands of the ever growing culture of internet browsing anywhere but they don't want boring beige boxes ruining the modern decor!

Solwise will show you a range of WiFi access points cunningly disguised as smoke alarms and oil paintings as well as bringing along their latest discreet WiFi leaky feeder cable.

Do come along with some business cards and friendly banter as we will be having a "speedy networking session" where we will try and get everyone meeting everyone else! [B-)]

Look forward to seeing you there,

Best wishes,

Jon

The meet has evolved into more of a networking event with technical discussions along the way. We have over 10 members now but I have many more people emailing myself with queries every week. Join the group and come along - you're sure to meet some potential business partners, or at the very least learn some tips and tricks.
