Austin loves shiny technology trends, and Google's surfing the Wave of yet another: whether powered by waves or other forms of shared information flow, storm, bing or bang, the information movement is radically changing. Those in tune will benefit from a heightened awareness of all the options, and Wave promises to be a big one: high adoption, significant network effect. The present success of Google's existing application suite and its clear investment in Google Wave deserve Austin's mind sharing, thought planning, and action tasking.
Please join the Google Wave Meet Up planned on July 22, 2009, 6:30pm at Conjunctured, 1309 E. 7th Street, Austin.
When you arrive you will find: (1) like minded folks with a united interest in knowing more about Google Wave; (2) a sincere interest in leveraging increased knowledge about what the new approach means for Austin and beyond; (3) a visible desire to do something with Google Wave after better understanding its capabilities; and (4) a need to understand how Google Wave can enhance each person's personal and professional gain.
Call to all technologists, business builders, writers, artists, hackers, and poets: we look forward to sharing stories and creating an action plan that considers out loud what Google Wave means for Austin's programming, use, and adoption communities.
Coordinated by Social Web Strategies (http://socialwebstrategies.com) and The Knowledge Advocate (http://www.knowledgeadvocate.com/).
