Sumeet Bansal is Fusion-io’s Principal Solutions Architect. Fusion-io is a producer of enterprise-class SSDs (Solid State Drives, as opposed to HDDs – Hard Disk Drives). Their silicon-based storage architecture known as ioMemory applies flash memory to large-scale enterprise storage products like Storage Area Networks.

At this meeting, Sumeet will discuss a case study of the Wine.com implementation of Fusion-io.

You will learn how to:

• Separate myth from reality about Solid State Storage and its role in the modern Database enterprise systems • Understand what sets Fusion-io storage separate from the rest of the Solid State Storage Devices • Explore possible applications of a MS SQL Server that runs at the speed of light • Increase performance, Simplify Database infrastructure complexity, and Reduce Costs at the same time. • Determine whether accelerating MS SQL Server provides a higher business value

To learn more, you may want to take a look at Mark's blog post about Fusion-io.
