Meetup Description: Cyber law describes the legal issues related to use of inter-networked information technology. It is less a distinct field of law in the way that property or contract are, as it is a domain covering many areas of law and regulation. Some leading topics include intellectual property, privacy, freedom of expression, and jurisdiction.
Courts around the world are creating Internet law right now--a process that is both exciting and frightening to watch. Unlike other areas of commerce that can turn to historical traditions to help settle disputes and guide the development of the law, the law of the Internet has no history to fall back on. "Cyber law" is instead being developed by judges who must do their best to fit legal disputes on the Internet into preexisting legal frameworks. As a result, the legal principles governing conduct and commerce in cyberspace are still in a state of flux.
Carson Stone, Nashville Attorney will be speaking to our Meetup Group. Please let your friends know because this is a special presentation because Carson is a true expert in Corporate and Cyber Law. Come prepared with Questions. Reminder: This will be in the Cummins Station Conference Room - please park across the street and there will be parking validation provided.

Session 2 will use phpMyAdmin to create a simple database and then we will create a simple PHP application to work with that database.
