Welcome to the newly reorganized DFW Apache LAMP Group...formerly "Dallas MySQL Meetup".

You can find further information about this group @: DFW Apache Lamp Group.

Our first meeting since "re-org" will be held Monday, Dec. 7th, 2009, at a venue TBD. Your Organizer, Tish Wood, will be speaking on Intro to MVC Architecture - "Home Brewed" using PHP. This subject will lay the groundwork for specific implementations of MVC to be presented in future meetings. MVC has been hot for years, but has become an almost mandatory expertise for job-seekers wishing to succeed in today's RAD marketplace. MVC is an acronym standing for Model-View-Controller technology.

Tish is also the Organizer of the Greater San Francisco Bay Apache LAMP Meetup Group which meets at Sun Microsystems' Santa Clara Campus in Silicon Valley....and is a veteran of the Silicon Valley Startup Industry as well as a past Web Technologies Instructor at a local community college. We will be adhering to the custom established in the San Franscisco Bay group...and allow the speaker to make their presentation undisturbed until complete...at which time the speaker will call for Q&A. This is to allow the presenter to convey as much information as possible to the group as a whole.

We are currently searching for a venue, so if you have one to offer, please contact your organizer Tish Wood. If we end up meeting at a public restaurant or refreshment house, a purchase will likely be required.

We are also looking for speakers for future meetings, so please contact Tish Wood if you are interested in speaking to the group.
