  • How to use a plain text editor to write code. We will go over how to use an editor such as Komodo Edit, which will aid you with code hints and keeping code clean
  • Some knowledge of how the internet works, specifically that fact that a user’s computer connects to server over the internet, and that the server “serves” up a website

Participants are strongly encouraged to bring a laptop with the following applications:

  • Text editor, preferably one with code hinting like Komodo Edit or Coda
  • Firefox
  • Firebug
  • WAMP (or MAMP for Mac users)
  • Wireless connection optional but nice to have

Participants are also encouraged to bring paper & pencil for notes and “sketching” the flow of your adventure. The instructor will provide participants with some sample code.
