Doctrine is an ORM/DBAL based off of the Active Record and Data Mapper patterns. Whether you want to find a replacement for the model in your MVC, framework or not, or want a simpler way to handle data for your web application, Doctrine has the functionality necessary. DallasPHP Member Jake Smith introduces you to Doctrine and its many components. He will guide you on how to harness the power of Doctrine to expedite your development time. Caching, Validation and Nested Sets are just a few of the features that will be covered.

Feel free to join our discussions on the IRC channel (#dallasphp) at Freenode.net or at our DallasPHP Google Group.
