For December we're planning a really killer holiday party in conjunction with the CO Podcasters, and Mile High Social Media Club, it's gonna be fun!For November, in preparation for the Dec. Holiday party we're moving the November meeting to this coming week, the 11th.
Strings (1700 Humboldt St Denver, CO 80218-1109), our gracious host for our last meeting, and the host of the holiday party is hosting a tweetup to increase awareness of a charity that they're involved in, Step By Step. The tweetup get's started at 4pm, and goes until 7pm.
Step By Step to Ethiopia, is a campaign for Coloradoans to run the 8,325 miles from Colorado to Ethiopia. You can pledge to walk or run a part of the miles and recruit sponsors to pledge $10 for each mile run between November 16th and November 21st, 2009. Leading the campaign is Governor Ritter who will run the first mile on Nov. 16. Led by The Cunningham Foundation, Ste by Step is a program to support the basic needs of children in Yetebon, Ethiopia! Your donations will raise to feed & educate children through Project Mercy.
We'll be supporting this effort by holding our November meeting with the tweetup. That's right, this month's meeting (Next week) will be a tweetup; beer, food, good people, lots of awesome!Don't miss out, it's gonna be a goodtime, and will prep you for the Dec. Holiday party!Spread the word!
