Next XP User Group meeting will be held 11:30 am to 1 pm, November 18th, 2009 at the OCLC Kilgour Building presentation room.

This will be an interactive discussion covering some of the tools and techniques of Agile estimating and planning that are usually different and frequently debated among Agile practitioners.

This will include: o An overview and comparison of various estimating values (Points vs. Ideal Days vs. Hours vs. Any other values usedÂ…) o A review and discussion surrounding the various types of story cards (Feature stories vs. Technical stories vs. Spikes for the Unknown vs. Technical Debt stories vs. Any other types of stories usedÂ…) o A comparison and discussion about estimating and planning for Agile teams within small companies vs. large corporations. o An inquiry into the most effective tools for managing Agile projects for both collocated teams and geographically dispersed teams.

About the Presenter: Todd Greene

Todd is currently a Senior Consultant for the Cardinal Solutions Group in Columbus, OH, and is helping lead an operational efficiencies initiative for the Internet team at Nationwide Insurance. Todd has nearly six years of experience working with Agile project teams, starting in early 2004 when he helped lead and promote the adoption of XP and Scrum at Progressive Insurance in Cleveland, OH. Since then, he has been a developer, iteration manager, product owner, project sponsor, and advising consultant for Agile teams throughout Progressive Insurance, Nationwide Insurance, and Within3 (an internet company in Cleveland, OH who specializes in online communities for medical professionals.)
