This month we're kicking off 2010 in style!

2009 saw the mainstream emergence of best practice development techniques such as Dependency Injection, the Single Responsibility Principle, DRY and many others. When Edge UG members were polled as to what they wanted to hear about in 2010 best practice techniques were at the very top of the list.

Never wanting to let our members down: Microsoft MVP Ian Cooper will be dropping in to discuss the SOLID design principles, what they are, why we should use them.

Starting off as a simple Document Management system back in 2001, SharePoint has gone through several iterations and evolved into an enterprise collaboration platform that can be integrated into every part of your day to day business processes - not to mention a rock solid CMS system.

SharePoint MVP Dave McMahon will be giving the second presentation of the evening:  "An overview of SharePoint 2010."

Agenda:

18:00 - 18:30 Meet and Greet/Networking

18:30 - 19:30 SOLID Design Principles

19:30 - 20:15 Pizza!

20:15 - 21:15 An Overview of SharePoint 2010

21:15  Wrap-up!

So whether you are interested in unravelling the mystery behind the various best practice acronyms or getting to grips with the Microsoft SharePoint platform - this event is for you!

I look forward to seeing you all!
