With Spring 3.0 and Grails 1.2 now released the options for configuring dependency injection are multiplying. We now have XML, Groovy, @Autowire, @Inject, @Configuration, component scanning, to list only the newest and the most popular. In this presentation we discuss why that is a good thing, and how you can choose the right tool for the job.

There will also be time to review and discuss the ripple effect that Spring 3.0 is having across the other Spring projects.

Dr. David Syer is an experienced, delivery-focused architect and development manager. He has designed and built successful enterprise software solutions using Spring, and implemented them in major financial institutions worldwide.
