Topic: Geo Mapping and spatial data on the web
Speaker: Hamish Campbell, Opus International Consultants

Synopsis:

Over the last few years, the GIS (Geospatial Information Systems) world has seen dramatic changes. A field of expertise that once belonged to researchers, government institutions and specialist businesses has flowered into billion dollar industry with extensive applications in all walks of life.

In this presentation, we will discuss:
- What is geospatial data and where can I get it?
- How do I store it, manipulate it and query it?
- How do I present it to the user?

I’ll use PHP code, software libraries and modules to show you how to add “WHERE” to your websites.
