Immediately following the earthquake in Haiti, the response from around the world and across the Net was swift and populous through the social web. People have galvanized multi-millions of dollars in text and web-based donations, to the people of Haiti as they begin the long process of recovering from the immediate trauma, and begin to rebuild their Country.
Cathy Brooks and friends will be talking about various social technology-based Haiti relief efforts, and examine what's been working to get people mobilized and organized. What efforts have you been involved with? And what do you think has been most effective? How can we best continue to take effective action? Come prepared to share your experiences and ideas.
Panelists include:
Chad Catacchio of Crisis Commons
Ayelet Baron of Cisco

This is a free event for all developers held annually at Foothill College. Last year, we had over 1500 developers register with up to 7 sessions held in each time slot. This year will probably be even better.
