Date: Tuesday 24 June 2008........Join us at our next regional meeting which will be kindly hosted by our friends at Sybase. The event kicks off at 18:30 and includes food and refreshments. During the first part of the evening, Sybase will give an insight into PowerBuilder 12. This is currently in development and scheduled for release in the 2nd half of 2009. The new features planned for this release includes extensive support for Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF). Next, VBUG member Peter Eagling will give an introduction into Robots and Robotics. Peter was featured on the BBC television program 'Robot Wars'. Find out exactly what a robot is and learn more about Asimov's Robot Laws and Tilden's Laws. Peter will tell us why it's so hard to develop a robot and maybe we'll even see his robot walk! Some of the technical topics he will cover will include MS Robotic Studio, Artificial Intelligence, .Net, SQL Server and Assembler. Finally, we will have an open table / QA session. If you've come across anything technical that you would like to share, feel free to bring it along. If you have any questions of a technical nature, feel free to bring it along and bounce it amongst the audience. Sybase Sybase Court Crown Lane Maidenhead Berkshire SL6 8QZ
