Michael is an architect of customer feedback processes, a graduate of Stanford University and a faculty member at a local university in California. He has done major consulting work in the area of customer survey and analysis for Intel, the Telephone Company, Santa Clara Transportation Agency, AXT Inc, SteelEye and many other smaller firms in the US.

In addition, Michael has supervised his MBA students to bring and carry out actual work related projects as part of their MBA program. Studies included customer survey projects for Cisco, HP, Juniper Networks, Washington Mutual, Boston Scientific, and Kaiser Permanente. Tasks included working with marketing, sales, product management, public relation, and IT groups to identify/confirm target audience, review and collect data from in-house as well as outside sources, run focus groups and design questionnaires, cleaning, organizing and setting up large databases, analyzing (using Excel, SAS, or web tracking software) and interpreting the data, quantitative and qualitative evaluation of the recommendations before full implementation, and comprehensive reporting to managers as well as executives. In addition, he has reviewed analysts' reports and communicated with them for financial research studies.
