C# Disciple Marlon Grech will be flying from Malta to teach us all about MEF, and his new framework that lends the power of MEF to MVVM.
What you can expect to learn:
1: MEF, the Managed Extensibility Framework is a new feature of .NET 4. It simplifies the development of pluggable applications. In this meetup we will cover a few WPF-specific examples of MEF, but even if you're not using WPF you'll be able to see how you can apply it to any development tasks that require a simple but powerful plugin system.
2: MVVM is a design pattern that WPF is particularly well suited for. In this presentation you'll see how MVVM can be enhanced with MEF to provide design-time services to your ViewModels while they run inside Expression Blend's WYSIWYG designer.
Pizza and drinks will be provided.
If you have booked a place then you find out you can't make it, please change your RSVP status so that attendees in the waiting line can come. No shows may be given less priority (and pizza) at future events.
