Oxford Geek Night #19

Date
Wed, 1 Dec 2010, 19:30 - 22:30 (Add to calendar) GMT
Venue
Jericho Tavern , Oxford, GB

Torchbox presents: Oxford Geek Nights. These are opportunities for web developers and designers in the local area to get together, share their skills and talk about new ideas, techniques and technologies.

Each OGN consists of two keynote talks of 15 minutes each. There are also frenetic bursts of socialising, sometimes adverts for other local groups, but always interspersed with two sets of 5-minute-long microslot sessions.

= Free drinks, sponsored by Nokia Ovi Store =

Thanks to those good folks at the Nokia Ovi Store, OGN19 will have a free drink per geek at the upstairs bar. Come along and celebrate the start of the festive season in geeky style!

Keynote speakers are invited to talk at Oxford Geek Nights. OGN19 will feature:

Currently confirmed microslots are:

  • Internet Plumbing for Beginners, by Ben Ward
  • Industrial Twitter Robot Slays Oxford Geeks; Total Carnage At Local Tech Event, by Matt Thorne
  • Mobile Ox and the Molly Project, by Tim Fernando
  • J2EE vs Python for web development, by David North
