OSCD WTF?
The idea is simple. We (that means you too) get together to write code, have fun and learn from each other.
We take an Open Spaces approach to organisation. You turn up with a laptop and a few ideas about things you’d like to show or things you’d like to learn. On the day we spend a short amount of time going through the things people are interested in and decide how we should split up into groups so that we can all get something out of the day. Each group goes off for about two hours to code something. At the end of each session the code is checked into a central repository and we all get together again to sort out the next session.
We focus mainly on .NET but welcome people with other programming backgrounds and skills just bear in mind that most of the discussion is likely to focus around how to get things done using .NET.
Note: Open Spaces Coding Day idea comes from Alan's Dean's Open Spaces Coding Day in the Uk.
