ABSTRACT: This presentation will show examples of several different ways to change a single-threaded Java application into a multi-threaded application in stages (refactoring steps). The application used in this example is a program that solves Sudoku puzzles. This is a highly-interactive presentation with lots of audience participation.
SPEAKER BIO: Dr. Wadland is an internationally known lecturer and consultant on software engineering. He is currently a Technical Account Manager at Coverity. He was formerly the President of Concurrency Magic, a Distinguished Engineer at Cadence Design Systems, and the Vice President of Engineering Software, Inc. He holds a B.S. from WPI and a Ph.D. from UNH
