Show and Tell
Continuing our break from the 2 presentation format (after last months CodeFest) this month we return to our "show and tell" format with a view to creating more opportunities for discussion and exploring real world development issues and challenges.
It works like this: you turn up prepared to show and tell us about something you've either seen or worked on recently.
Of course we won't make you talk about anything if you don't want to and we don't expect you to give away or show anything proprietary or confidential. Apart from that it's a pretty much an open agenda:
Written a cool new app? Show us.
Contributed something to an open source project recently? Tell us about it.
Got a pet project you're working on and are after feedback for? Let us see.
Seen something amazing and new recently? Share the awesomeness.
Assume you've got up to 20 minutes to show it. But if everyone is fascinated we may let you go on longer.
The only other rule: No blantant advertising. At least not without buying a round of drinks at the bar first.
If you've never presented at DevEvening before and have always thought of giving it a go now could be a good chance to get some experience and/or some practice.
