Sending SMS Thru VB using MsComm

I want to write an application that sends sms thru VB. I have gone thru the code samples posted here and other sites. But i am not able to set it up to work. If you can tell me how it is to be done right from the scratch it would be a gr8 help. Please excuse, since i do not not have any experience using the MsComm control.

Thanks in advance and really appreciate the effort.

Well... i do not know how to do thiw either, but i once had found some components for using mobile phone connect to pc via cable. I guess you have to use one in order to make this work. You can try searching for "mobile components" in yahoo for example, you can get plenty of them. Then download the one that suits to you and your phone. I hope this will help you. But certainly you have to use a different component to control the mobile, because this sends the message and not he pc itself. Some cables (for mobiles) provides you with a component in their cd, you can try there too, but it is not sure...

I hope this was helpful enought, even if i have a little doudt on it ...

I found on the web "Mobile FBUS 1.5"
    It work very well!
The OCX is free for personal use.
Tested on VB6 connected to Nokia 6110, via serial and FBUS cable, but is able to recognize many

    1. Introduction

The Mobile FBUS ActiveX Control is a Visual Basic ActiveX control for use in
Visual Basic 5.0 and above projects. It started as an experiment with mobile
phones linked through a cable, and has now become a well-formed project in the
form of an ActiveX control. Because of its experimental nature, this control
    is a freeware control.

    2. Installation

After download, unzip the mfbus15.zip and copy the following files to
    <windir>\SYSTEM (NT users to <windir>\SYSTEM32):
     gjfbus15.dll
     MFBUS15.ocx
     MFBUS15.oca
     REGSVR32.EXE

Then go to the command prompt and type:
     regsvr32 MFBUS15.ocx

The installation is now complete, and you can include the OCX in your Visual
Basic project. The control is shown as "Mobile FBUS control v1.5" in the
    Visual Basic components list.

    3. Usage
