Changing Technology from .NET to Java/J2EE

  I was working on .NET since 3 years before that i have worked around 6 months in Other Microsoft Technologies and 4 months on java. Just few days before my company suggested me to switch to Java/J2EE and also they offered me onsite oppertunity very soon.

  But shall i change my technolofy for just onsite oppertunity, changing technology can even spoil my career. My company is a CMM 5 company and having very good infrastructure.

  Then can some senior people will suggest me what to do? As i am really strucked. Either i have to change my company or i have to switch java.
