Compacting a locked MDB

  Hi,

  I push a lot of information down to an Access DB nightly and becuase of the way Access INSERTS and UPDATES the DB size is going crazy very quickly.

  My problem is that the Access DB is constantly locked by a further application.

  What I need to do is automate clearing the locks on the MDB and compacting the database.

  Any ideas?

  Microsoft has a utility that is called ldbview.

  There is also a dll where you can do similar thing from codel.
