HANDLING EXCEL SHEET IN .NET

  currently i m using asp.net with c# (.net 2005, 2.0 framework).
  
  Here, i m uploading some datas from excel to database (sql server 2000).
  it working fine.
  
  My client is requesting me to show the errror list which records are uploaded and which one are failed. he required as.....
  
  1. When uploading finish the excel sheet should consist of SUCCESS & FAILURE in a new column, so that he may know which records are failed
  
  OR
  
  2. The records which are failed should indicate in RED color and success in GREEN.
  
  Usually my excel uploading sheet consist of 1st column as PRIMARY KEY. so how to identify that primary key and change the color of particular row from my .net to EXCEL?
