How to use .net framework 3.0 in Visual Studio 2005 ?

    Hello

I am using Visual Studio 2005 and downloaded and installed .NET framework 3.0.

My Visual Studio still works with framework 2.0.50727 SP2

What do I have to do to use the newer framework ?

    Thanks.

You have to download Visual Studio 2005 extensions for .NET Framework 3.0 you can download it from here [http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=5D61409E-1FA3-48CF-8023-E8F38E709BA6](http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=5D61409E-1FA3-48CF-8023-E8F38E709BA6) [Jajatibadu](http://blog.jajatibadu.com)

I'm not sure whether your a company or single user etc. But I would recommend if you are single user / small business to register with the Microsoft partner scheme. Apart form the regular office / vista licenses for the £200 ( or foreign equivalent ), if you take the simple test for the web toolkit, you get additional licenses for Visual Studio 2008 standard, and the MS Expression Studio for Silverlight etc. This is a fairly cheap way of upgrading to VS2008 and having Expression Studio for asp.net web development and Silverlight. Plus if you're a start-up (less than $1 million turnover, and building a software product rather than consultancy) check out the [BizSpark programme](www.microsoft.com/bizspark/). We're a network partner so can put your application through.
