Fail to reference a class library in a web site

  Hi I added a reference to a web site. I can see the dll file under the web site Bin folder When I use the using statement in the web site , I receive error CS0246: The type or namespace name 'DALayer' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?) This error do not appear when I add reference to another class library . It happens only when added to a web site Any help will be highly appreciated
