Class, Abstract or Interface ?

  Hi there, I am creating new db and app. I have persons in different types. 4 ex: Patient, Doctor, Nurse and each of them has different and same fields as you know. Thats why i want to create PERSON class/interface/abstract (thats the problem) for same fields. I want to generate DB queries also in this struct. If i create PERSON as abstract class, i think i can update, insert statements shared fields with function in this class don't i? (or should i?) What kind of a design will be usefull for me? Or do you have some sample like that?
