    Sir,

AlthoughI am using sql 2000 server, when I am trying to connect to sql server I am getting Error

An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.)

Previosly it was running fine. but since last 2-3 days above error is displaying.

Please reply as soon as possible.

    Thank you.

U should try and create again new Sql Server Registration Group and then seen if it gets connected to server...Bcz these type of error normally comes where there is a problem in connection with sql server .

Suppose if u have installed it on u r pc..see that particular server is started or stopped..?

Your program is unable to reach the SQL Server. Hence it is giving out the default error message. Check if the SQL Server is blocked by any firewall.
