    .MTS is a special format of camcorder which is scarcely accepted by any video editing software or portable devices. Of course, you can choose some encoders or plugins online, but most of them are not stable, they may make your Macbook crashed or freezed. Unless you choose Adobe Dolby Digital AC-3. It is very powerful and suited for some movie making films. But it is very expensive. So I think that the best way is to convert MTS files with powerful Pavtube MTS Converter.
