Monitoring Scanner Device using C#.NET

  Can anybody help me to get the code to get properties of a scanner such as how much images have been scanned, name of scanner device etc. I've searched all over but couldn't get it. I've got the code for Printer device by using WMI. Is there any way to get the WMI code for scanner device also??

  Thanks for reply Alessandro, but I don't want to acquire the images, I just want to capture that event in which scanner device is called, and want to have values of properties of scanner device.

  Thanks for the invaluable suggestion Alessandro, but this will check any device which supports USB. What should I do to check that the device is a scanner and get its properties and if that scanner does not support USB then?
