How to create a games like FIFA08

    Hi Friends , Does any body know the software used to create and deploy big games like FIFAO8, Need for speed etc. I have done programming and tried to design games in VB6 . I want to go a step ahead even interacting with the DirectX . I WANT IT FOR FUN , so do not be scared to give as much as you can. Thumps up DevelopeFusion for the forum.
